This is one of the photographs I took for the back of my CD cover design for Mozart's Requiem. The stage is set and quietly waiting for the orchestra to arrive...

The cover design itself has been lost by my art teacher, but will doubtless turn up one day.

stunning pic, and very difficult to meter by the looks of things. were you using a fast film (>1600ISO) as it has a lot of contrast, or was this the resuly of a manipulation?

Thankyou! Yes, it has been manipulated slightly with regard to brightness and contrast- I'm very amateurish when it comes to film and so on.

to my mind there is only one difference between an amateur and a profession - the professional is paid to do it.
